coyotes & buzzards.....

This is gonna be gross...Found the bones of that born dead new baby calf yesterday near some blackberry bushes....i saw a mama cow there by herself all day Friday and i knew she must have had a baby...so i drove over that way and she had one and it was dead.....

they do that from time to time..sometimes it's their first calf that dies or sometimes it's the cold winter that kills them...i think she must have had some complications or something along those lines...

coyotes or buzzards had picked that carcass clean in one night or half day....the bones were red..oh man...it was sick and made me wanna puke...i mean everything was gone..even the hide...but it was born dead anyway....

those coyotes are really running in big packs now...some are supposedly crossed w/wolves or something they say..they howl all night-every night non-stop...kinda spooky to me when i'm lying in bed at night or i'm outside in the early morning or late night...not that i'm actually really scared,i'm used to them howling-it's just the eerie tone to their yipping has spooky traits to it.....that's why i have tough dogs outside and my kitty cats have to live in the garage/house or locked up in the barn at night...because they make great snacks for coyotes...*sad face*

they walk right up in the yard every night....i mean i don't mind that,but when they start trying to get in the barn to eat chickens or eating dog food out of the dog bowls in the yard,or annoy my dogs---it gets annoying..i NEVER get a full night sleep around here for all the yipping/barking...oh well..i'd much rather listen to them howl all night,than have to live in a big city full of crime! most definitely. ;)

i usually turn on the porch light or make a loud yipping sound back at them..sometimes they will yip back at you...lol..Julie--"The coyote whisperer"...Bwahaha!...my grandpa says that coyotes stay to the east of panthers at all times..something they naturally do in nature i guess?...i found that interesting....so they must be scared of big kitty cats....lol...

buzzards are always circling in the sky looking for dead stuff to eat...you talk about an ugly bird!.....that's one bird that got beat w/the ugly stick isn't it?....LOL....

poor buzzards..i saw 5 yesterday..and when they are in the road eating road kill they WILL NOT move for anything!...they just sit there and then decide to fly almost right as you are 2feet near them..lots of people lose wind-shields of their vehicles because of those crazy birds....i don't know if it's because they are deaf/blind or just because they are lazy...or what?...maybe they have bad hearing or sight..if so, that's sad to be made that way isn't it?....

my new pup carried the dead calf skull up in the yard and was chewing on it....SICK!...i was so mad at that dog....i almost gagged when i had to chase him around the yard to get the skull from him and then i picked it up w/a shovel....puke...it was red and ok, that's enough i don't wanna gross anyone out more than i already have.....i buried it out in the pasture...nasty!

i didn't make it into town for the Christmas parade...lol...i was too busy working..i just had dinner at home because i had no time to drive into town for all that mess....haha...

i DID manage to find a new pair of thermal underwear in an unopened package in the barn...i guess my uncle or Grandpa had bought a few pairs...it has a shirt and pants you just wear underneath your work clothes to keep you warmer...thermal clothes it should be called---not underwear!..lol....so i think i'm gonna use those this morning to work in...any extra layer in clothes helps block that chilly wind.....

starting to plan the Christmas party for my friends...next Saturday i think?..we're having gag gifts so i gotta find something embarrassing/weird/silly/stupid....this week i will look at gag gift stores in Oklahoma City when i get time to drive there...i love stores like that...i'm such a nerd....

cold dusty work awaits...
