I like to paint, whether it is painting on a canvas, or just painting to make things look newer, interior or exterior of home.....
PAINT EXTERIOR OF HOME IF IT LOOKS BAD!
Too often whenever your home is exposed to all of the harsh weather repeatedly year after year, the paint on your home outdoors will peel and chip off and it looks awful!...It's always good to paint the exterior of your home with tough work, brushes, several cans of exterior paint! Get to work painting your homes exterior!....
a new coat of paint will make your home and businesses, buildings look NEW again!....get rid of the old nasty looking interior/exterior....paint it a new color or something that looks cleaner.
SAVE MONEY FOR PAINT, IT CAN BE PRICEY!
Saving money for the paint may take time for the several cans of paint that are needed...I always have to save money whenever I know I need to paint the house....OR I need to save for metal siding and a metal roof for my home...which is probably better and cheaper year after year...lol....
ITEMS I USE TO PAINT ON THE HOME WITH----
Good sturdy ladder, someone to hold it so you will not fall and hurt yourself!...
Many paint brushes all sizes
several cans of EXTERIOR paint for outdoors of home OR INTERIOR paint for rooms in home....
edgers/rollers for painting..
extendable long handles for placing brushes on to paint in heights...
plastic drop cloth for painting in bedrooms, rooms in home..
painting gloves.
eye goggles when painting above my head on ceilings...
plenty of help!....lol..
EXTERIOR OF HOME, REMEMBER TO PAINT TRIM ALSO!
I know I always paint the trim outdoors on my home a lighter shade of paint or a darker shade of paint than the whole house outdoors..so I would paint my whole home in a color hue and the trim lighter or darker....nice!
PAINTING INTERIOR OF HOME
I like an interior paint to paint indoors of my home all rooms need to be painted every so many years due to wear, stains, smokes, a even frying in the kitchen can cause nasty yellowness on the ceilings/walls of your home or a restaurant and this needs to be painted with a primer first like the KILZ or Zinsser primer paint, and then a coat of paint you choose yourself....Often when homeowners smoke indoors of their home it will cause the walls, ceilings to smell and turn yellow so that needs to always be primed with KILZ and then your painting color scheme....
PAINTING A GOOD COLOR HUE
There are many colors to choose from for your interior/exterior of your home...Whatever you choose is your choice of color scheme...I enjoy painting my rooms interior all in light beige, tans, or whites/off whites...brighter and cleaner looking....you can see better in your home all hours with minimal light sometimes, and when you have curtains pulled back the sunlight easily can brighten your home.....anyways, that's what I choose anyway for room painting color schemes...
Exterior of your homes can be whatever you choose and sometimes businesses use color to draw attention to their businesses....but I just like the old soft looking southwest color hues myself...but that's just me!...Many people have different unique colorful ideas for what they like and choose....
A NEW COAT OF PAINT MAKES IT LOOK NEWER
Whenever you may move into a new home, or build a new home you know that a new coat of paint will ALWAYS make things look better and you can change the color scheme of an older home you move into, make it whatever you wish, it will look much better and cleaner...indoors and outdoors of your home always need to be painted, re-painted and that will help you to feel like your home is more comfortable for you and your family/friends...Painting makes a good difference and I know a lot of tough work is required to complete painting your home...It has taken me a whole summer season before to paint on my home...but I felt accomplished when I worked on it.....I enjoy painting!
PRIMERS
Priming over old nasty looking walls, stains, ceilings or old looking wood paneling that is difficult to remove in your home takes time and I have used the brands Zinsser and KILZ to cover this before painting, wait until it dries and paint over primed areas the following day...
ALWAYS open windows while painting and turn off air conditioning! paint fumes can make you and your family/friends, and pets very sick!
KEEP PETS AWAY FROM PAINT!
DO NOT let pets near any painting, they can ingest paint and become very ill or die!..sadness! so always place them in their pet kennel/pet taxi while you paint and keep them far from fumes of paint in a room where NO painting is taking place....if they live indoors, outdoor pets also need to be kept from painting also...keep them in shade with water/food while you paint...
PAINTS I HAVE USED BEFORE
Sherwin-Williams
Valspar
Glidden
ACE hardware
Walmart
Home Depot
Lowe's
many stores have paint for painting your home and you can find them at hardware stores and building supply stores, BUT I know some are way to expensive and I try to find one that is affordable because many cans of paint are required!.....
involve your entire family/friends in painting your home, you can ask for help or offer to pay them to help you if you can afford it....Tell them you will purchase them a snow cone if they help you!...lol....I know that would make me want to help paint!...haha!
CLEAN AND PAINT
cleaning up your home, keeping your home disinfected with bleaches/cleaning supplies is a good start and a new coat of paint will help with the upkeep of your home interior/exterior.....painting your porch walls will make your front porch look nicer/cleaner....just paint them a good color hue, that is clean looking....cheerful and not sad/icky!...lol
PAINT IT ALL AWAY!
I sometimes believe that a new coat of paint can take away bad memories of your home, business or any area where you have felt depressed, sad, angry, hurt...Just paint the bad memories away with a new coat of paint and change up how it looks some, if you are able to.....it's amazing how much better a person can feel when they brighten, cheer up a sad area with a new coat of paint..
I sometimes drive past areas and houses, housing areas or old businesses and I think: " Get out there and paint that!!! it looks terribly sad and depressing!"...
