I like to create cakes that are different and try new things in baking...I am always looking for something new to try in recipes....This is an easy recipe and it is Angel Food Cake...You can enjoy Angel Food Cake plain, with strawberries and whipping cream, OR like this recipe I thought it was different, I found it years ago....it is a lighter dessert to serve with dinner....
Angels like to enjoy Angel Food Cake!!!.....lol...
1 20oz can of crushed Pineapple, undrained
1 3.4 oz package of instant vanilla pudding
1 cup of thawed whipped topping
1 Angel food cake in three layers
strawberries
Measure the whipped topping in a liquid glass measuring cup, I like to add just a little more whipped topping often...so it will be able to stack the cake and hold properly...
Angel Food Cake advice!!!-------I like to purchase an Angel Food cake mix from a box and bake it earlier and have that completed...it is easy....most times you need a light weight angel food cake pan to piece together and then pour your cake mix into...bake in the oven according to instructions........
THEN you need to have a glass soda bottle to hold the cake pan up with the cake in it, so it will cool...this can be challenging, but I'm sure most people can figure this out!.....remove from pan after it cools, place on grand sized plate.......USE a serrated edge baking tool to slice the cake in layers start from the side slice across in three layers.....this is usually easy to accomplish...I really like the texture of Angel Food cake....it's different than plain cake..
Instructions----
Mix Pineapple and dry pudding mix in bowl. Gently stir in whipped topping.
Stack cake layers on a plate. Place pudding mixture between layers and stack up as you go. Use enough on each layer to hold it together, place all over the layer then stack another layer onto this, repeat. Then place remaining mixture ontop of the cake. You basically build this cake up.
Refrigerate one hour or until you are ready to serve. THEN garnish with your strawberries.
It is a pretty cake, and I enjoy it.....Angels really like it.....lol...
