Whew!...finally have time to set down at the computer and type on this thing....
Grandpa's eye surgery went good.....he says he can see A LOT better now...it's a huge relief for him...he can see everything now he said....i'm happy for him...we must have made 4 trips to Walgreens over the past few days...getting his eye meds,Grandma's blood pressure pills,and then Friday i found myself back in there w/friends after we went to the mall...
Walgreens has their Fall stuff out!...we go totally nerd over the Fall aisle i swear!...LOL...just goes to show you how ready we are for it to get here....haha....i bought a coffee cup that has a leaf on it---it's brown/orange/purple...to drink my hot chocolate w/marshmellows, and sometimes capuccino in.....
AND i bought a strand of candy corn lights to decorate with....as if i need anymore fall decor!...but they are cute & whimsical...i had to have them to add to my collection...i think candy corn is cute in it's own way...i like the smell of it...but it's waaaay to sweet for me to eat..maybe one piece once in a while....that goes for those candy pumpkins too, cute but too sweet.
My cousin is a pharmacist at that one Walgreens, so we always have to go in there and annoy him...haha!..we make faces at him and wave at him...bwahaha!..i know that's gotta embarrass him, but he just laughs and waves at us..he knows we are silly goofballs.....
A few friends & family went over to the boat house and partied this weekend...the lake is toxic right now w/bluegreen algae from the drought so it's off limits--no swimming or anything in it..yikes...i went to the boat house last night for a while...me & Sarah had 2 small margaritas a piece, then went to see our Auntie's J.'s house and see how close the grass fires got to it...it's a huge beautiful 2 story on the hill overlooking the mountains..so pretty there..it's safe thankfully, but the land is charred everywhere..it was a huge grassfire burned a couple thousand acres...bless those firefighters!.....they work all the time anymore it seems on grass fires...they have a very dangerous tough job....
i hate fire & drought....luckily (& keep your fingers crossed on this one) that the weather is supposed to be cooler from now on and more fall like here the weathermen all say...they better not be lying and play mind games w/all of us around here because we all wanna blame them the drought got so bad!..LOL.....we need rain bad still...
Dad still hasn't came home to see me & Sarah yet...we don't know if he's coming home now because Grandpa said he called him & he said that they had a lot of trucks coming in out there where he's working this weekend at the feedlots that his boss owns/runs, so he never hardly gets time off..but they pay him really good...we'll see him soon enough i'm just wondering if he liked his music scrapbook/cds i made him & the cd player i bought him?..i'm sure he loved them...
he doesn't have computer out there, so i just bought him a portable cd player instead of Ipod or mp3... Uncle Pete did say he cried when he opened it and he's embarrassed he cried infront of them over my present..they said he kept crying & saying:"She's so creative & smart..i'm so proud of her".....aww..that's kinda sad...he's real emotional at times and complicated, so i don't know if he can tell me he loved it without crying like a big ol baby...
anyway..i know he loved it and is proud, it'll take him time to tell me without crying infront of me...that's how he rolls...lol...he tries to hide his tears....i put uplifting things in it,chocolate cake recipes he likes,cowboy art pages i created with paper, stickers,rhinestones,glitter paper,cd pages,songs downloaded from itunes i put on cds,band info...mainly red dirt bands..stuff he would like or get to know i think....fun facts, things like that--it was really pretty & very cool i think----that's me being creative...haha..it'll keep him busy reading/listening/thinking during free time(if he gets free time) hopefully he won't be so homesick....
anyhow that's everything going on the past week..busy & busy...still gotta work tomorrow on Labor Day..but a cowgirl's job NEVER stops! it's a 24/7 occupation...i love it though.
