The fall season is a great time to go horseback riding with your friends/family.The weather is much easier for just leisurely horseback riding....not too tough on your horse's health when you are just simply, calmly riding your horse...
You can look at the beautiful colors of the Fall season when you have a pretty trail to ride your horse through in the trees...fall colors of the leaves are beautiful!..I like to pick up a few dry, dusty, colorful leaves and listen to the crunchy sound in my hand as they turn to dust when I close my hand...and I like the sound of walking through fallen fall leaves with my horse...
horses are some of the nicest, sweetest, most loving animals, they just love you no matter what, they are friendly and will want you to pet them, talk to them, they like to have their toys to play with in the corral/barn, they like their feed and sometimes the occasional snacks of carrots or horse biscuits...they are good pets and friends!
so many horses are abandoned/abused and it makes me cry it is so upsetting and sad for me! Too many times idiots have the horses and they starve them, hurt them terribly, hit them, scream at them, and many other awful nasty sick things!!! I saw on tv one day that people were ingesting horse meat for food in another country and it made me very sick and upset!!! We should NEVER ingest horse meat for food!!!That is SICK, SAD, and NASTY!!! It is very upsetting to me and sickens me!!!..Those idiot-losers who are apart of that and other bad/nasty things need to be eradicated!..it makes me very ANGRY and SICK!....Horses are our friends and need to be taken care of and loved at all times!!!
rescue horses are horses that I always think about and how much they need to go to GOOD homes and GOOD people who really have the time to work with them, feed them, take GOOD care of them and mostly LOVE them!...they are very sweet and they all need homes!....I wish I could rescue them all!
always make sure you have got the money to afford a horse and pay for the horse's health, food, and safety...You must have shaded areas for the horse, a barn/shed with plenty of room for the horse, a pasture for them to run in, time to interact with them, money for feed/veterinarian bills, vaccinations...time to pay attention to your horse's health and always time to go out and say hello to them and pet them....
when choosing a horse remember that you can have it tamed if it is not tamed, and if you wish to have a horse always choose a proper-sized horse that is closer to your height and family's height...that way you can interact with your horse more easily and not get into accidents so bad....
It is very easy to have riding accidents or just accidents where the horse can bite you terribly in the face/body, and they can kick sometimes and hurt you very bad, also they can knock you off onto the ground when horseback riding or participating in timed/rodeo events, children need to be watched/monitored when near horses at all times...so always remember that is dangerous just like it is with most things in life...be careful but also be respectful of the horse..be friends!
some horses are allergic to many different things so always be aware of that...some hays they like to eat they can be allergic to as well...My Grandpa always says that you have to make VERY sure that the hay you are giving your horse DOES NOT contain any blister beetles, because IF they ingest those beetles it will kill them!..awful..i hate blister beetles!
your horse needs many vaccinations one that I know of is West Nile disease and they always need to be inoculated for that....West Nile disease will kill them as well as the other diseases..
there are many toxic vegetations that can be in pastures that your horse can accidentally ingest and die from, so always ask a veterinarian about those toxic vegetations in your area...
We need many more Farriers to help with hoof care for horses...keeping the horses hooves shoed, healthy and clean is VERY important! They need to be more affordable to all people...and we need more of them everywhere! It is sometimes difficult to even find horseshoes readily available and that is something we need everywhere...Horses need to be re-shoed every month...ALWAYS remember that and DO NOT ever neglect them at any time!
you need to save money at all times!---saddles and tack are available for purchase and sometimes you may be able to find those at horse auctions or from an individual that is pricing the saddles/tack at a cheaper price because it is not new...works just as good I think, you just don't want saddles/tack that is torn and worn too terribly that it won't work..that can be dangerous and cause many troubles....so always look for something that looks nice and will work properly.
Horses need to always be patted and talked to and tell them that you care/love them...they like to hear you say kind things to them..and they love for someone to love/care about them! aww...so cute!
Another thing is, I don't like horse racing because it is abusive and they are sometimes very mean to them, and then when they are through racing them, I have heard that they just kill them after they cripple them in horse-racing and that is VERY WRONG and tears my heart to pieces!...oh it makes me VERY ANGRY! they just want to make money off abuse like that so many times with all animals and it is cruelty and those evil nasty people need to be eradicated too!...I HATE people who are abusive/cruel to animals!!!
anyways, horseback riding is good for you I think, and it clears your thoughts when you can go for a leisurely ride late evenings before the sky turns dark for the nighttime...It is relaxing and calming to go horseback riding and look at the colorful sunset after the sun goes down...very beautiful!
many horses are needed for therapeutic reasons for people with disabilities, and for many rehab/detoxification programs as well I have heard about...They are needed for those people and they are called Therapy Horses...people can have trainers available to help with the riders and teach them to ride and how to properly care for the horses....It is a great way to save many horses and give them good homes with these trainers and programs that are available as well!.....It is a good idea/program and I just adore it!
so if you have the time, money, love/care, know- how, and want/wish to have a horse, or 2 horses or 50 horses in your life, you should start finding one now and have a new horse friend in your life! they are sweet animals and I wish for everyone to have happiness/laughter in their life with a horse...Always give them a name!
Adopt/purchase a horse now!
