Many times heating your home with no fireplace, with the heat/air that you have installed in your home, or with living in an older home that leaks air and needs unaffordable repairs, sometimes it can be VERY difficult to keep warm!
There are several portable plug into the wall electric space heaters that you can purchase to warm your rooms of your home simply, they are all prices...
You should always be VERY careful when you have these plugged into the wall outlet because they can overheat and catch your home on fire as any fire or heat source may do so!...ALWAYS watch and monitor your heaters no matter the type, and NEVER leave them plugged into the wall, and turned on while you are away or gone for the day/night...these need to be monitored closely at all times......
Best place to set these heaters would be somewhere OFF of the carpet....or place something sturdy and clean there on top of the carpets or rugs, then place heater on to that, that way it won't touch the carpet....
I have several space heaters, my home is older and an old farm house that has been remodeled, it leaks air and is sometimes too COLD Brr! in the winter season, and often way too HOT! yikes! in the summer season!!!....can be so very annoying and uncomfortable but oh well it's home......be happy with what you have as they say!.....

upright standing heater...affordable, usually $20 and up, I have several.
fake fireplace heater...these can be pricey..Save money for them..$70 and up..all sizes.I have one in my bedroom, very pretty, comforting, warm.....I sleep well while it is on...the flames are not real. but they are very pretty orange to watch glow, and it heats nicely...
You can find these at many stores and i enjoy them all.
Stores that carry building supplies usually have them.
