music on the weekends....

Music is something that most everyone enjoys.

Many people are talented in vocal, playing instruments, sound/stage, songwriting, and I think it would be nice if everyone in all towns small or grand had a place on the weekends to gather and take part in all musical areas of interest.....

Locally at one time, most the small towns had weekend music and anyone interested that wanted to take part was allowed to....There was always quite a few people there to listen and see the performers....

I think most small towns have the problem of not having anything to do on the weekends except travel to the local city to get into troubles sometimes it seems!...When you live in a small town it's good to have a place to go and take part in some musical interests on the weekends where you do not have to travel so far to enjoy a performance, meet like minded others, and be social....because it would be right there in your small town!

you can advertise it everywhere and invite all, have all kinds of music allowed,  you may switch out every other weekend what type of music you will be playing but still invite everyone to see how they like that type of music.....

Have instruments of all kinds allowed, you could bring accompaniment tapes, but live music is always good!....You would have to have all the stage equipment and microphones working nicely and inspected by someone who know how to run them properly....

Have plenty of room in a clean, remodeled or ok building, you need to have the building inspected for safety concerns so it won't cave in!...lol....I have seen some buildings that I just know the ceiling would cave in before in these small towns so old and falling in!...lol.....

you could have it for free, for all to attend and enjoy, then you can have refreshments, or some prepackaged snacks, brought into your building, everyone can donate some, or the money to purchase them, and you can maybe have some door prizes, raffles or something unique like that for everyone to enjoy.....just advertise the Saturday night music!

On holidays you can all perform Holiday themed music, or you can even maybe have a gospel singing with live music for a Saturday night sometime....

Saturday nights can be boring, and we all need to have something good that is social and for the whole family that we can all take part in and look forward to on Saturday night that is local and you don't have to travel 50 miles to go and see!...lol....

Saturday nights can get you into a whole lot of trouble if you take part in something you know is not good just because you are mischievious and probably bored!.....

I enjoy this type of weekend social gathering.
