Finding the right lawn equipment is always challenging for some people....You have to make sure you are happy with the equipment and that it will properly work and you need to know IF you will be able to find all the parts for repairs and someone that knows how to properly repair the lawn equipment when it breaks down...
STIHL is a brand that my Grandparents have had for many years...They have ordering books and you can always just look through a ordering book to find the parts you need...It is fairly easy to order repair parts from them..I was looking through one of their books last night and I know they are a good company....with many repair parts available...You know, if you can find a reputable dealership you may want to just stop by the store and look at what they have for purchase...STIHL seems to be very durable and good equipment!
Finding a good lawn mower repairman is always needed...sometimes locally it can be very stressful when you are looking for one!...They should have repair classes available or someone should start up a lawn mower or lawn care repairman business! it would only be for spring/summer season....but it would be there!...AND a person shouldn't have to wait for a month or more, to have their lawnmower looked at.....
Husqvarna, John Deere are other good equipment dealerships that have a whole list of different equipment for purchase...I think it is so funny my Grandma enjoys mowing the yard and looking at and for STIHL repair parts....lol....I ordered a repair part for her online a few years ago..still working!
These companies have all kinds of items for purchase that are different equipment...I'd enjoy a small lawn tractor, I think that is what she needs to purchase with all the mowing she has to complete, her yard has many tall weeds with stalks that are tough to mow...Lawn tractors would be good if you can afford them!
some of these may be too pricey and there are other lawn mowers/lawn care items that are more affordable brands...but these brands just have many different types of equipment with their brand for purchase...easily order repair parts and I like that!...ALL lawn care repair items should be easier to find/purchase....
looks as though it may be going to storm this morning...I like the rainfall and the beautiful clouds.

black cat fireworks....
I went to town yesterday and I saw a Black Cat Firework display at one of the firework tents.The Black Cat firework is an all time favorite of mine, they are good fireworks to light all together as a whole or light separately....
I enjoy the packaging of the fireworks and the black cat picture design and labeling on the fireworks.
These are an old brand I know, I even enjoyed these whenever I was younger..because they had a black cat on them!..
Now that I have a Black Cat as family/pet, these are very special and everytime I see them I think about Pumpkin Cat!...I like black cat designs on many items for purchase...
These fireworks are usually located in the yellow firework stands..i like that!...a tradition.
I enjoy traditions, old-fashioned, and older brands and labels on these are neato and look older. I like them!

preparing for the 4th....
Very tired.
I was helping my Grandma and I had many errands to complete for her...It made me very tired yesterday....I think it is the hot weather, traffic, crowds, and a Grandma who is choosey in her purchases....lol...Everything has to be just right to her specifications....*eyeroll* I still love her though!
I know many people are preparing for the 4th of July weekend, and on Monday is the day!
There are many celebrations taking place, gatherings, performances, parades, purchasing fireworks, cleaning, cleaning the grills, and cleaning the pools....and that takes a lot of prep work...organizing, and planning....
I have been cleaning the house, bathing my pets, mowing the yard, decorating outdoors, purchasing food items, ....
I am having a variety of different foods, traditional ones...grilling out on the grill:
grilled corn--on the cob with seasoned butter/margarine
hot dogs
burgers
potato salad...you can purchase in the store or homemade.
homemade cobbler
baked beans
ice cream
Red Diamond Tea
Lemonade
water
others can enjoy a Coke for refreshment.
You can have the meal whenever you wish before or after fireworks, ya know....Keep your pets safe in the home or away from the fireworks, it hurts their ears, and they can become hurt terribly being in the way of the fireworks...Goofball is ready, he will be safe!...lol...Pumpkin cat is going to take a nap I think, he stays in the house.....Keep fireworks away from all pets at all times!
Many people, If they have a pool may enjoy having a small pool party with friends/family they know after fireworks, you may invite them over for a pool party at home...be careful and safe at all times..monitor everyone!
I love a good, cool, night swim.....with outdoor twinkle lights hanging nearby, and the moon and stars above to look at while swimming, sometimes it is too hot weather I think it is cooler in the pool at night....but always be careful and DO NOT drink while in the pool...drink on the front porch, or in the home if you wish to...NO drinking and driving! don't ever over consume too much alcohol....deadly.
Parades are occurring in the next few days, maybe even today locally, ALWAYS remember that the 4th of July parades----have traffic, crowds, very hot weather, loud music, loud vehicles, and often the Emergency Management Teams, Fire Departments, Police Departments will join in the fun to drive down the main streets in the parade to celebrate with loud sirens....wave to them all!
Be kind, courteous, friendly, and stay out of the way during the parades...they may even have local Arts& Crafts booths or fun sport games to join in.....Take bottled water with ices, in thermos mugs, or small ice chest coolers with ice cubes and water....Keep children safe, I would leave pets at home because of the loud noises occurring during these 4th parades....
Dressing up in costume for the 4th of July parades is often fun, but may be too hot weather, so whatever you choose, OR you can just wear Red, White, Blue clothing or American Flag clothing you can purchase to celebrate with...Dressing up pets for the 4th celebrations is very cute, just leave them at home to dress up for friends/family for your 4th of July celebration..give them chewies!..sirens at parades are too scarey and sometimes too loud for them....IF they have pet costume contests take them for a contest....have fun.
Be cautious of fireworks and always know that they can harm/hurt your eyes, skin, body..they can easily catch you on fire and burn you!..DO NOT lean over fireworks while lighting them...Choose someone as the official firework lighter!...lol...Let them light the fireworks while you set back in chairs and enjoy refreshments, you can wear sunglasses to watch them if you have eye issues, so always know that!

watermelon, cantaloupe, and others......
Enjoying everything seasonal during summer is something we should all take part in.
Stopping by the fruit stands and the farmer's markets during summer is something that I like...It is just not Summer season unless you take part in purchasing fresh seasonal vegetables/fruits from these places and/or growing your own garden and gathering up what you have grown there...
ALWAYS wash any fruit or vegetable before you prepare it, and I like to keep my produce cooled off...wash with water thoroughly at all times! Before you peel, half, or prepare in any way...WASH IT.....This will help rinse off any contaminants on the outer layer before you half it...Bacteria is everywhere on many fruits/vegetables....Listeria/Salmonella are terrible bacteria that will make you become very ill, so ALWAYS wash everything....
Watermelon is a summer tradition and a favorite sweet of mine, and it is healthier than many other things during summertime....Locally Watermelon is grown very easily in the sand/soil....they grow well in sand...When purchasing a melon, you should flink it on the top with your finger...listen for a hollow sound coming from the watermelon....it should be most times, ripe...or purchase during the month of July to find riper ones in stores, markets, fruit stands....
There are several varieties of watermelon:
Black Diamond
Yellow
Orange
Seedless
Red
Probably others i have forgot, anyway, I enjoy them all.
I always wash the watermelons, cantaloupe, honey dews and place in the refrigerator to keep cool before I prepare them...nothing better to enjoy on a hot day than an icy cool slice of these sweets...If you have room in your refrigerator that is...
You can half the watermelon with preparing knife, and then make many slices, place on plates and enjoy with friends/family....I like to shake a little salt on mine.....OR you can just half long ways and use forks/preparing knife to remove slices from the halves and store in refrigerator in plastic tupperwares, or enjoy as soon as you place them on the plates....
Honey Dew is another summer sweet and it so very pretty in color...a golden color....it is often very sweet and you will know when you try them that they are as sweet as sugar often....I just prepare them as the other two I just talked about, and remember to always wash!

Cantaloupe is also another summer sweet I like.....It is often very sweet and there are a few varieties of these....You prepare them the same way as the watermelon and honeydews.....I use a little salt on these also....Refrigerate these properly just like the watermelon and prepare the same as them....I enjoy these every summer when I can find a ripe on...IF the outer layer of them cantaloupe looks greenish, it is NOT ripe yet, you may look for one that is riper and no green on the outside....You can purchase them green and let the ripen a few days until the green layer is gone...then enjoy.
