2017 calendars....

I can't believe that today is the last day of October....

It is so crazy how quickly the days go by.

I have already purchased my new 2017 wall calendar for my bedroom to place on the wall....They have so many different themes for calendars with beautiful pictures of things all people can find that they enjoy or find interesting.....

I especially love the cute animal & pet pictures for the wall calendars! they are so wonderful and sweet! Landscapes, weather, farm scenery, cowboys, flowers, sports, horses, religious, art, cartoons, and many others to choose from, are available out there...

such a nerd I am that I look forward to choose, find, and purchase my yearly new wall calendar...lol..you know me!

They can be found many different stores....some very pricey, others more affordable for $6/wall calendar...I think that is very reasonable....

Stores like Walmart, Dollar Tree are the most recent places I have found them to be very affordable, wall calendars with beautiful pictures....I will keep mine placed in a clean drawer until next year and then I will unwrap it on January 1st for the new year to begin with these pretty pictures....

I ALWAYS have to have a wall calendar so I can jot down very important events like Birthdays, appointments, day & times to remember...I always like to write things down so I can remember them on those days and NOT forget what I need to be working on, going to, or celebrating for that day!...These are also good for work days and times....

I also make unhappy faces on days that I start to have lady problems and I need to purchase some chocolate and pads!!!.....lol...you know how that is girls!...I just hate that so much, I get cranky, hurt, and I just want chocolate and sleep!.....so I create an unhappy face on that calendar day when that lady problem starts to begin! ;( so I will know what I need to purchase....lol...

Ink pens work best for me when I am writing anything on a calendar so it will be seen and stay on there......

for work, they have desk calendars for those who have desks and office, they have cute, funny, and just the same as wall calendars with pictures sometimes, but smaller.

I just enjoy the wall calendars and every year that goes by I look forward to purchasing one...

tigers....

I have been so dizzy this evening it started at noon..i hope it goes away.....when I lean over to a side I get dizzier!!!..must be my inner ear!...oh well....

I think that Tigers are very beautiful animals...

I know they are endangered and they have small numbers in the wild, I have been very upset because people poach them and other beautiful animals for their skin/fur!!!

WE always need to help keep people aware that these beautiful animals deserve to be protected and kept safe from poachers...I think when animals are killed for their fur/skin it is terrible and awful!!! it should NEVER happen!!! :(

The tiger will always hold very special memories for me, as I attended school our school mascot was the Tiger.!...Orange & Black are the colors of some species of tigers and that was our school and small town color hues!....

I enjoy many items with Tigers on them and I like the stripes of their fur...they are so beautiful!...Tiger stripe prints and anything in Orange & Black stripe in our hometown is good!....lol....

Tigers will never be let down in my old hometown!...

My Grandma has a blanket with Tigers on it, and the school emblem on another, in orange & black...I thought about those yesterday....

Tiger Spirit !!! is what we said back then at school...it makes me smile to think about that chant during those days....

Paw prints in black & orange on items, and all over town were so very cute & whimsical....all kinds of hometown merchandise from highschool!...haha!

Black & Orange all over town...cute!

Tigers need to be kept safe and away from danger!

electric blankets and throws....

One item that I enjoy during the cooler weather, the very cold winter evenings and nights is the electric blanket...

I like to place them onto the top of my bed and then i place a blanket over them...I keep them plugged in the wall outlet and turned down on a lower temperature....When i leave for the day in the mornings i always make very sure i unplug them from the wall outlet to prevent fires, and to make very sure that all pets are not able to be shocked by chewing on the cords....

I keep the cord for my electric blanket along the sides of my bed frame at the bottom, tucked away gently there, so nothing is setting on it, or mashing the cords to fray them...that way, pets cannot chew on them this way.....i try to keep the cords underneath the bed and i always monitor my pets so they will not be chewing on them...

remember that IF you are diabetic you do not need to be sleeping underneath or have the blanket turned way up!!!..You may burn your skin and severely hurt yourself this way....Diabetics need to keep the blankets turned way down....

these are in many different color hues and i enjoy my electric blanket...i sleep very well in the cold nights with mine turned on medium heat...maybe a 4 or 5 degree on the dial...feels good when you have pains...works wonders for mine....arthritis flares on me in the very very icy cold nights and i like my electric blanket to keep me warm and comfy...

these can be somewhat pricey, i saved money back for mine.

I cannot wait to be able to use mine again!....lol....BUT the weather is still very warm here....oh, i wish it would get cooler soon....I place mine onto my bed, turn the heat on, and watch tv at night in my bed...i fall to sleep peacefully.....I would recommend these electric blankets to anyone who needs warmth and comfort at night when you are restless, chilly, and need to rest nicely!

a good brand i have enjoyed throughout the years is:

SunBeam

Also i enjoy the heated throw blankets that you also plug into the wall outlet...these are many different colors and some of these have pictures on them & designs!...these are so cute...i like the ones with puppies, kittens---any animals, angels, Bible Scripture with scenes, also those with stars on them.....or any farm scenery...anything cute!....very soft and comforting.....

the heated throw blankets are good for when you are setting in the chair to rest or sleep...i like to place the heated throw blanket on my aches & pains when setting in a chair to rest....

the most affordable i have seen these heated throws is $30....but well worth the money!

I think when so many people have difficulty sleeping comfortable, and resting peacefully, it is generally stresses from your life, stress from your day, depression, or whatever may be upsetting you daily....I think to sleep well you need to be comfortable and i know in the harsh cold winters and the chilly nights a person needs to be warm to relax...the electric blanket works well for me and sleeping peacefully.....

broken heart syndrome, healthy heart.....

I know that everyone needs to take extra care of their black furry pets this weekend because of evil creepy weirdos and the weekend - 31st celebration....It is best to keep your black furry pets indoors safe from harm this weekend til Monday!...Pumpkin cat wanted me to remind everyone how dangerous it is especially for black cats!!!...

anyways,

I know how easy it is to have your heart broken and it can be broken because of awful things you have gone through in life, had your feelings severely hurt, had many terrible harmful things happen to you that have depressed you...I do know that when you have your feelings hurt and depression is there in your mind, I know that it can lead to serious heart ailments and that is known to be true...

I think that when you are severely depressed and even probably having mental health issues this can lead to serious heart complications and when you are depressed and hurt by something or someone this can lead to addictions that hurt your body...this is very serious and needs to be tended to...it is especially hurtful to your loved ones to watch you go through sadness, upsets, heart ailments, abuse, addictions......I have seen this way too many times with loved ones, and I cry when I know someone I love is in pain, has been hurt/abused, depressed and it just makes me sad!

Heart troubles can be mentally or physically caused.

Physically causing yourself heart ailments by self abuse/addictions, not eating proper meals with plenty of leafy green vegetables and vegetables or salad with EVERY meal...My Grandma has always taught me to enjoy plenty of greens/vegetables with meals....We have always known to have a little fun and cook some desserts and sweets--these can be fun! sometimes fry for a meal, but we always use clean oil, and healthy cooking oil, drain grease on paper towels, and have plenty of vegetables, salads, and I enjoy water & tea all the time with meals....

I even was vegetarian for a year or so and I became seriously ill.....BUT I do know how to cook good healthy meals, and I am up-to-date on all the healthy ways to cook meals and I know all the heart healthy dishes......

I know I like to place a few fun dessert recipes on my blog and those online shouldn't look at them if they make them angry...weirdos!....lol....damn...I mean, IF you want to ingest those cardboard nasty Lean Meals in a box go right ahead, take some stupid drugs, and drink some hot water with them too!...how many times have I heard that diet from all those stupid women/men!!!...*eyeroll*...whatever! go chew on some cardboard if you like those Lean Meals in a box...icky!

recipe books for cooking/preparing meals for those with heart ailments are available and I have many healthy cooking recipe books....IF you have family or friends with these heart issues they are available....I am up to date on all the latest healthy cooking supplies and recipes for all ailments....believe me...my Grandparents have taught me all about that! I probably know more than most people.....lol....

We know all about exercise here in Oklahoma, and I know that when I exercise all the time I like to walk up onto the ginormous hill on my property and oh, it is nice to see for miles.....I like to take GoofBall for a walk with me daily in the cool evenings or early mornings....with his collar around his neck and his leash attached to that....exercise for us both!

but....having a broken heart does cause you to lose hope and become depressed...this all leads to heart ailments...and when you love someone and they have these issues it is upsetting....

taking good care of your loved ones going through heart disease or heart ailments is very sad....so IF you have heart troubles, get them worked on and get better! so your loved ones won't cry and be stressed!

Keeping the stress & anxiety of life away from you is best, eliminating all your vices, and learning to prepare meals more healthy...staying away from people who upset and annoy you is best for your overall health and you heart especially! they cause stress and upset so best to stay away from those people....I know all about that!!! stress!

Hosting Heart Health events and Heart Health talks is a good way to make your community aware of heart issues and proper treatment available....all kinds of ways to prepare meals for your heart troubles and how to overcome broken heart syndrome with mental health care.....

It can be fun for women to have a Heart Health Event, be aware, and wear red shirts and red lipstick.....that would be cute for the heart color hue at these Heart Health events/talks! I know they have a Heart Health Awareness month....

pumpkin bars.....

I whipped up a batch of pumpkin bars today...I enjoy baking these.A favorite of mine this time of year...Always sift your dry ingredients together with a sifter first.

Pumpkin Bars

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon salt or less
4 eggs beaten
1 15-ounce can of pure pumpkin
1 cup of cooking oil
1/2 recipe of cream cheese frosting

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, salt. Stir in the eggs, pumpkin, and oil until combined. Spread batter into an ungreased deep set baking pan.

2. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick placed into the center comes out clean. Cool in pan after removing from oven. Cool 2 hours. Spread with cream cheese frosting. I place mine into the refrigerator for 2 1/2 hours. Then I make into square bars. This makes them more manageable to enjoy!

USE Half of this recipe to frost your Pumpkin Bars.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1 8-ounce package cream cheese. softened (let set on kitchen counter for an hour to soften)
1/2 cup Butter softened
2 teaspoons Vanilla
5 1/2 to 6 cups of powdered sugar

1.In a large mixing bowl beat the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla with a mixer until light and fluffy (use medium speed) Gradually beat in powdered sugar to reach spreading consistency for pumpkin bars. Store in refrigerator.

I enjoy these with a glass of milk...sometimes on Saturday mornings these are good for breakfast....lol.

chiminea for the porch....

The sky was so beautiful last night....I looked out my window.....there were a few whispy clouds overhead and they shined blue-green and light purple with the moon near them....so nice!.....I thought when I was younger that the moon was made of cheese!...haha!...I laugh about that still....and I thought stars were diamonds....lol....cheese & diamonds...that's silly!

I have been seeing that there are many chimineas out there for purchase at home & garden stores....They are so neato...I especially like how they are created from clay...some have designs drawn into the sides or may be stained....

Chimineas are nice for your porches probably the back porch where they can get air...good places to set in patio chairs during the cool air evenings...just make sure you keep them from all things that can catch on fire and monitor them....Keep your kids and pets from the hot chimineas...they sometimes will PoP! and sparks may fly..this can be dangerous!..

I think it would be nice to keep warm there in the evenings and set and listen to the quiet or talk with friends/family...

Placing leaves, wood, or anything natural to burn into the chiminea would be ok I think.....just do not over pile it!!!....I don't have one yet, but they are nice looking!

another good way to keep warm outdoors.

Clay outdoor items to me, are something that I think look natural and are very nice.

retrievers, terriers, snauzers, dachshunds, basset hounds, spaniels......

Yesterday...I saw one of the prettiest, cutest dogs at a home as I was driving down a local road...

It was a Golden Retriever.

These dogs are so very beautiful with a golden hue to their fur...They are sporty dogs that like to play ball..they fetch and if trained properly will bring it back!...They seem to be smiling all the time when I see them!....Their fur is so nice to be brushed and they are generally good with children nearby.....I think they could be named Sunshine, Blondie, Wheat, Gold or whatever you wish to name them!......Some of these dogs have been severely abused by nasty weirdos...It seems as though when I talk about any pet, it tends to be that all types have suffered abuse in the world..I wish to END animal abuse for all animals/pets!.....they need to be adopted by good people who will take VERY good care of them! Love & care for them, they are family!

Dachshund.
The Dachshund is a very small tiny dog!...Oh, they are so cute! and cuddly!...You have to make very sure you always look out for them when you are near them so you will not accidentally step on them!..That would be awful and upsetting!...They have tiny chew toys and require a special can of tiny dog food..I think they need to be kept in your house..They make wonderful pets, they are gentle and they can become angry when near other pets...they are so small and need to be in homes with small children..they are so tiny and require plenty of rest, proper diet, water, shelter..love & care...Great for your family!

Labrador Retriever.

The Labrador or "Lab" as they are called are very sporty athletic dogs and they require a lot of work and attention outdoors!..They enjoy hunting, fetching, playing with children..they are usually very mild-mannered and do not get angry very often....They are in 3 color hues..Black, Brown, Yellow...they are similar to Golden Retrievers and they are very cute and sweet!..I think their fur is nice brushed and they need to be kenneled up at night when outdoors they like to roam...all pets need to be monitored outdoors at all times, have pens, tie -out cords with collars, and plenty of water, food shelter....Good for your family.

Jack Russell Terrier.

This dog is very hyper, silly, active and athletic!..They are smaller dogs and they need special food for smaller set dogs..they need plenty of attention from you, and they need to be well taken care of!..They make me giggle whenever I see them play with their toys and race in circles!...haha..They can be trained...They should be kept away from cats, I have heard for many years that they don't like cats..These dogs are good with children but they can become grouchy and snap at you or loud children...so let them have rest and don't annoy them too much...Best kept in home.

Rat Terrier

The Rat Terrier is a very hyper dog like the one above, they are smaller set and require special food, proper diet, and need to active! They like to hunt for all kinds of critter sometimes and can easily wander away from home.My advice on this dog is to keep him close to home at all times! They need to be contained in a pen, OR kept in the home I think is best they are so small and mischievious!...haha....they can be grouchy and snap at you also.Good with children but can be hateful when annoyed!....Can be trained well. They are friendly sweet small dogs...

Snauzer.

This dog is smaller set, and it is very sweet, gentle, and cuddly!..They are so cute! They have cute barks and they require special food and to have special haircuts! They have hair/fur on their face that looks kind of like a moustache...it needs to be clipped and trimmed...Brushing their fur is always something they need to have done...Taking them to the groomers is something you can do monthly sometimes!....lol...They are good with children and need to be kept away from cats I think..they can become snappy also!..take good care of them. They make good family/friends! Keep them in the home.

 Basset Hound.
These dogs are so cute! They make me giggle when they walk and play! They are lazy and they enjoy sleeping. They have very long fuzzy ears that are so cute and they are cute and wrinkly! Good for families and they are so very gentle.I haven't heard anything about them becoming snappy or grouchy...I think they are cute named Gus, Sam, or Peanut, or whatever you wish to name them!...they like to take naps on the porch and yawn...they need to be fed special diets because they like to enjoy their food and sleep all the time!

Cocker Spaniel.

This dog is just like Lady from the cartoon Lady & The Tramp. It is a sweet, gentle dog that requires plenty of attention. I have not heard anything about them becoming snappy or grouchy before, but they probably are annoyed sometimes..They are good with children and they need to be on special diets! They tend to be lazy and when not active they may become depressed. ALWAYS give them plenty of proper food/diet and exercise them...They need to be kept indoors probably..Their fur needs tended to, brush them weekly! They are very beautiful dogs, and so sweet and kind!

I think all pets need to be well taken care of..I see so many pets these days standing in the roads or running across highways, lost or missing from their families! It is very upsetting and I cry about all of the abuse that goes on with all animals....I wish for all animal abuse to END.

I just think that everyone who is able to needs to adopt a new best friend, they will always love you and care about you too, and be there for you always! Starting your life over new with a new pal is always a good way to begin your life over..they help with being alone and they keep you from feeling upset or depressed so much I believe! Adopting a pet into your life, or if you have a family of your own, adopting a pet will change your life for the better!

ADOPT a pet today!

low self esteem....

Low self esteem is something many people suffer from, all ages go through this feeling sometime in life....

Many times it is caused by how someone belittles you, makes fun of you, tells you, you are useless, anytime they pick out faults about you, your looks, or anything about you and they tell you, you're stupid or dumb, you're not wealthy enough, you don't matter or count in the world, these people telling you these things can cause low self-esteem....Don't pay any attention to these bullies/snobs! they like to bring others down because they feel better when they break people's hearts....because they're jealous or not happy with their own self.....just laugh at them all when they try to insult you!...I laugh all the time! ;)

Other times low self esteem can be caused by embarrassing situations or when someone has severely hurt you physically, this can be very difficult to get over.....It takes a lot of mental health help, and talking with those you love and can trust about what you went through, they will understand and keep that information quiet...talking to those who you trust and love can help you sometimes feel better about what you went through, along with mental health help.

Bad times, abuse, upsets, and setbacks they can cause low self esteem, and sometimes low self esteem leads to suicide, drug abuse, and severe mental issues, people need to always seek proper mental health care when feeling so low to the ground...these are very serious situations and need to be treated properly.....suicide & drug abuse should NEVER be the answer!.....Seek mental health help always.

Life is tough and a person has to always be tougher to fight back against all the upsets and challenges in life, I know I have had to!....

I think really, low self esteem is generally caused by others who inflict pain with insulting words or terrible upsetting abuse....nasty people once again who cause upsets to others, they need kicked to the curb!!! Forget them!...Those types of people are trash and their opinions and words do not matter....

They say abusive relationships can cause a lot of low self esteem for men & women, people should NEVER let another in a relationship insult them with hatefulness, or belittle them or abuse them, this is all just to try and control your significant other, and it just causes low self esteem...men & women both have suffered this in relationships!...I think that is when I would leave and call it quits.....

Low self esteem can be caused by many abusive things in life, and like I said setbacks that happen when you are so very hopeful for good things and they just don't happen, and that is very upsetting and sad when that happens to someone full of hopes & dreams....but sometimes I think when things fall through over and over again they just aren't meant to be, and we have to just pick up and go on in search of what God has chosen for us about each and every thing in life...so never lose hope and give up!...

NEVER let someone cause you to have low self esteem and never listen to those idiots when they run their mouth off at you to be hurtful or abuse you!....Laugh at them and leave, never to see them ever again....that'll show 'em!

low self esteem can stay with you if you let it control how you are feeling about yourself, and I know many people suffer from that.....so IF it happens to you, just work on getting rid of it and learn to just laugh at all the crap in life, that's what I do all the time!...just laugh about upsets and go on!

keep sundays religious...

Going to be working on baking a pumpkin dessert this week I think....I always enjoy baking something this time of year...Everybody always enjoys this!...

I purchased a can of pumpkin for baking with this week...I like most brands of canned pumpkin....some are more affordable, but whatever brand works well for me....

Libby's ----Canned Pure Pumpkin, and Pumpkin Pie Mix are traditional..always in the golden/orange can label..very pretty..i enjoy colorful labels on items...isn't that silly?!!....lol....yes. I'm a nerd!

Shurfine canned pumpkin
Best Choice
Western Family
these work for me when baking with canned pumpkin.

PURE Pumpkin for your pets------Maybe Organic all natural, 100% PURE canned pumpkin with nothing else but pumpkin in the ingredients is good for cats digestion(helps to rid the hairballs) and they can enjoy 2 teaspoons full for that issue...my cats like it anyway!.....AND dogs can have a spoon full, they also can have pumpkin chewy treats....baked well....

anyways,

I also purchased some of those peanut butter chewy candies that are wrapped in the orange & black wrappers...those I enjoy...they have a few brands I enjoy of these...My Grandpa always liked to purchase these at this time.....

We have always enjoyed the brands---
Necco
Mary Jane

It was so funny I had found one of Grandpa's coats the other day and in the pockets on each side was a piece of candy....haha!...he was just like me!

pumpkin and candy talk you know me blog!...lol...

I have been reading a few Psalms today in the Bible and I know that no matter what I am working on, sundays I need to always try and be religious and keep God with me..they call sunday the Sabbath Day and to keep it holy, rest, and be religious....I pray on sundays and enjoy attending church often, and reading at least a few Bible passages or verses on sundays.....

I believe we should always try to read a few verses or passages and pray about things on sundays....everyone is off work and school on sundays, so read your Bible....

cinnamon candy apples....

One fun food creation this time of year traditionally for me to create with my Grandma has always been the Cinnamon Candy Apple....

We always try and make these apples for the seasonal celebrations...I enjoy all fun seasonal food creations....and this is one IF you like apples & cinnamon....I like to work on finding old recipes that are simple and unique for the holidays....this is one of them.

Cinnamon Candy Apples

You'll need:

1 cup of water
1/2 cup corn syrup
2 cups of sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon oil
1 teaspoon red food coloring
12 wooden craft sticks
12 small apples

Boil your water, syrup, and sugar together until a brown caramel color is reached at 250 degrees F on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add cinnamon oil and red coloring. Cool slightly. Place a craft stick in the core of each apple. Dip the apples 1 at a time into the heavy red syrup, drain well, and place on a buttered baking sheet to cool. Let them cool several hours. Then when cooled, wrap in plastic clear wrap....Give as gifts to those you know.

have a costume party !......

It's that time of year when traditions take place, for the Fall Season.

I see in the stores many costumes for end of the month celebrations!....I know the Fall Festivals all have or are taking place locally and with that often we have costume parties there...I have always thought it would be neato to host a Costume Party / Fall Celebration indoors at home with friends and family.....

Cosplay people enjoy the costumes creation and wearing them always....I know they like to create their own costumes sometimes also...or purchase them.

Finding the right costume for you, If you attend a costume contest or party, or you host your own costume party, or create your own sewing one, is all your choice what costume you wear....that's always the fun part is deciding who or what you will be in your costume....I always enjoyed those costume contests in the Fall season....

If you have children attending a seasonal candy safe house event at churches or schools they may also have these costume contests....these can be extra fun for the children and hopefully safer for them...go with them always!

Pets can also wear some costumes for contest locally and they may even attend a costume party IF allowed to attend...I think the pet costume contests are adorable and cute! these are also fun social events that may be fundraisers for local humane societies and pet shelters so always attend with your pet in costume if you can....good social event to meet others...be friendly and say hello!

Choosing the perfect costume for your pet is always fun too, I know how fun that can be, BUT we MUST ALWAYS make very sure that they do not ingest their costume or become tangled in their costume this is dangerous, and they don't need to be grouchy with other pets attending the contests or event, SO watch them and keep them tended to....

Hosting a Fall Seasonal party at your home, is always welcome to those you know, trust and adore!!! Invite them over in the evening/night, have on your costumes, have desserts, snack foods, refreshments to drink, have your costume contest, award silly fun inexpensive prizes, play board games, have candies, decorate and celebrate in your costumes for Fall season by the 31st...I usually enjoy this by the 31st of October!!!...I think we should all enjoy these events, be friendly, have fun and paint your face up to match your costumes if you need face paint, sometimes you need the face paint, sometimes not!....be silly, laugh, talk, have fun and be safe in your home....

sometimes you can find just the character masks and you just wear plain clothing with them, these are sometimes more affordable, just get creative and have fun with this!

You can find your costumes at many stores locally, places like--

Walmart
Party City
Target
Wally's Party Store
Dollar General
Dollar Tree--may have something I don't know yet..
Specialty costume stores, like they have in the malls--may be pricey so check everywhere..

Accessories like, the costume pieces and the face paints you can find everywhere I think.

Leaves changing color.....

Went to the Sale Barn today for awhile, then to run some errands.

While driving I have been noticing all of the cute Fall decorating people have been working on near their homes outdoors!....So many porches decorated beautifully!

I have been enjoying the changing of the seasons and the trees have all been changing many different colors....reds, yellows, golds, maroons, browns, oranges....This is the time of year you know that when the leaves are changing colors that the weather is changing....

Colorful leaves make very beautiful landscapes, and offer something different to enjoy looking at as you step outdoors or you take a nice scenic drive....I enjoy when leaves are falling from the trees onto the roads and you can drive through them and they fly up behind your vehicle!....lol....isn't that funny??!...

I always pay attention to my driving, but I enjoy seeing the leaves fly up whenever I drive over them on the roads....lol....it's just my special activity during the fall season...Falling leaves beware!!!

Painting pumpkins has been fun lately for me, I painted one...it is nothing but a cute face!...it is another traditional craft.....these will fade if you place them in the sunshine, so I keep them on the porch from sunshine, or indoors....

Many people I know are celebrating for October Birthdays out there!.  ;)  HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of the Birthday Babies!!! ~Hugs & Kisses!

farmer's almanac......sweaters + sweat pants......

Had to separate cows today in the cow lot, very exhausted....this one goes in this pen, this one goes into that pen, same with the same.... then repeat....lol.

started reading my new Farmer's Almanac.

I enjoy reading the Farmer's Almanac, it is a interesting booklet to read during the evenings for me...they are about $8 maybe pricey for some people trying to save a few extra dollars....I saw it for purchase in a store and I had just enough to get it....

I purchase the new 2017 year edition.

It is all about Agriculture and nature, old stories, and it is a very old publication, I enjoy how they have got old wisdom, old farming ways, and then new information in the booklet...I like the tales and the information on good days to farm or plant crops...and other this and that's...

Reading the Farmer's Almanac is very relaxing and I like to read it for leisure and I like Agriculture so it is something I enjoy....

I have been reading a few pages in the evening lately, and I have learned a few Agriculture old ways of planting and other things about nature...

The weather predictions are my favorite, I like to read those and usually they predict the weather fairly close!...it is similar or it does happen on that particular day...

My great-grandpa had many editions of the Farmer's Almanac and he planted his garden and crops by the info in the booklets....it is a very traditional read.....I quite enjoy it!

Thinking about starting to purchase a few sweater tops and sweat pants for winter...they are affordable at Walmart I like to purchase them there, so very soft and comfortable!...I like to wear the sweat suit tops and pants together in the same color for Fall & Winter season...

The most fun idea about these sweat suits is all of the colors you can choose from!

I like most the colors...they are for all sizes and ages to relax and stay warm in...I think they are a fleece type material....I just wear mine with shoes and in the evenings when it is very cold and I am through working for the day I take a nice warm bath or shower and then wear those til time to go to bed...some people like to wear them to sleep in also....they are good to wear when the electricity goes out during winter weather!

I like many brands...I miss seeing the brand Tultex, I never see it anywhere I have an old sweater by Tultex and it wore well and is very soft I think I had that for 20years!...lol.....just laugh because it is that comfortable...

other brands i like:
Hanes
Jerzees

the colors are so pretty in these.

whenever I know winter will appear here, I know I will be prepared to keep warm from the chilly conditions....I have seen these items lately at Walmart.....I like the cute character slippers with critters on them for all ages, I saw some that looked like puppy dogs....cute!...I may purchase a pair...nice to relax your feet in during winter evenings and nights at home, keep your feet warm.......

I'm all about being comfortable at day's end, and whenever I am exhausted or I am hurting from pain in my bones and joints when they ache, just dressing in something comfortable really helps me to relax and maybe feel better...

flu shot....

It is time to get a flu shot!!!

I went to a local medical clinic today and took my Grandma, we both got a flu shot.

When I got there they said my flu shot would be $50.00...I couldn't believe that because a few days ago they advertised them as $25.00!!!....they said I had to pay for a nurse's visit also that was why it cost so much......always something with them....small town medical clinics need work......

AND they have a clothing store in the medical office now.....lol....yeah I need to look for some clothing while I am in need of medical attention.....haha!...ok....maybe a $50.00 t-shirt to go!!!....*eyeroll*

Anyways,

I told them I JUST needed a FLU SHOT....and they said: " We have to have a nurse's visit to make sure you are not sick before you are administered the flu shot"....I just had enough money in my wallet for a shot not all that!...

So FINALLY as my Grandma got her flu shot, then they said to me: " It's just $25.00 for your shot, we just take your temperature and your oxygen."....I was ok and I got my flu shot....then I left.

I think it has helped me to have a flu shot in the past few years, because I always get sick with the winter flu bug every year, and I think since I have been taking the flu shot yearly it helps me to not be so ill.....

my problem is I have bronchitis + allergies + asthma + cold wind then that turns into walking pneumonia as they call it....NOT good!

All ages of people need to have the flu shot, and the elderly, they have them and many other types of vaccines available now to combat the flu bugs.....

I DO NOT like to be sick with anything, especially the flu bug!...I can't even look at things or think about things when I am so sick.....it makes me sick to see things move or watch the tv, smell food, or taste anything but Gatorade and crackers..some people like 7Up or Sprite when they are sick....gag!

So......when you DO NOT want to have to go through all the flu bug nastiness and be ill...Get yourself to a medical clinic or pharmacy that administers flu shot...I think $25.00 is the going price for a flu shot....

beans & cornbread for lunch....

Created cornbread for a bowl of beans from the crockpot yesterday, I used a mix and then I added a can of MexiCorn.and some shredded cheddar..that is perfect for the cornbread...sometimes I use half of a can of cream-style corn with jalapenos and the cheese to create the cornbread.....

I like to enjoy a piece of the cornbread into the bean juice, you can also place a pad of margarine or butter onto a piece of cornbread by itself.....

You can create homemade cornbread OR you can purchase the small mix packages--I enjoy both of them..these brands are good I have tried them: follow instructions!

Jiffy
Shawnee Mills
Betty Crocker
Martha White
Hodgson Mill
Pioneer

Oh Beans!.....

You always have to wash your dry pinto beans from the plastic package and wash them several times only in water, look for tiny stones in the beans, then remove. I like to add a little jalapenos and a tiny bit of ham in my beans while they are cooking...

Dry Pinto beans in the packages, I have tried many of these brands---

Casserole
Best Choice
Great Value
Always Save
La Preferida
Goya
ShurFine
Western Family

Soak the dry pinto beans over night in a pan of water...Place in crockpot for several hours turned on medium with water and add whatever you wish....takes a while to cook in crockpot...Keep lid of crockpot on to the top while cooking pinto beans....helps them to cook...

After they have completed cooking I like Trappey's Hot Peppers in Vinegar to shake the liquid onto the beans sometimes...very hot!.....sometimes I add ketchup to my beans also...I like to season things always....that was fun cooking that yesterday for noon lunch....Good!

to be a pastor.....

Often times many people feel that God has "called them" to be a pastor and preach his word to others.

I think the world could always use many more pastors, that are of good nature, trustworthy, kind, and willing to go the extra mile to be friendly and counsel those in need of prayer and God's word.

Whenever I see a pastor out there talking to everyone and he or she is very involved with the community that makes a good difference in all communities!....We all need to have pastors that have good sermons that inspire you to greatness, change you for the better, and sermons that make you realize just how important having God is in your life.....

Pastors should always be very involved in caring for their church family, taking part in all activities at the church, ministering to those who are homebound or going through painful upsets...

They need to be good with children and they need to be evaluated first, that way everything is ok....Youth Group activities, the pastor needs to take part in those I think and throw in his ideas on events the children could go have fun at and enjoy, and have fellowship...

I think Wednesday evenings in communities, it would be good for the youth/children to have Bible Study, pizza, recreational activities at the church, I enjoyed that when I was younger....keeps you out of mischief and you'll be thinking about God throughout the week.....the youth should be monitored by very kind, caring, responsible adults who will keep them safe and out of trouble.....there are all kinds of fun ideas of recreation/teaching the pastor may have for Wednesdays with the youth....I enjoyed that myself!

I think all churches should have good pastors that will be able to be there for those in need of counseling and take the time to meet with them after church sometime.....whenever you go through an upset or challenge that is heartbreaking you always need spiritual counseling with a pastor, that way God is always with you through the upsetting time....

you may feel inspired by someone within the church family to attend classes to become a pastor...anyone I believe, male or female can preach God's word to everyone, too many times I have had to listen to people yell that " A woman should not be a pastor!" ......and that is just crap!...Women can take part in anything that a man can to tell of God's word and teach others.....If you feel you wish to be a pastor, then God himself is probably calling you to be one, that's how that goes!....

The pastors usually live in a parsonage(home) that is near the church, OR they may choose to live in a home they find on their own....

special events always need prayer and many people know that the pastor always is there for those to give thanks and praise, I like that.

I think that when everyone finds a good church family in town when you are lost, it can definitely change your life, you can meet others, take part in all activities and be near others in town, gives everyone something nice to take part in....be kind! being active in your church and all activities is always good....

when you feel that God has "called you" to be a pastor for your community, he wishes for you to tell everyone of his word and to preach to all from the Bible, you will have to learn most of the Bible and be able to prepare sermons on Wednesdays and Sundays...something in your sermon that everyone can understand and relate to...those are good sermons....

Often when you are a good pastor the best part of that, is the ability to lead people to God and spirituality, to maybe change someone's life for the better by praying with them, teaching them about God, and counseling them through upsets in life....letting them know God is there..

being a pastor you can bring goodness to the world and I know everyone needs to have God and spirituality in their life, we all need to know of the Bible and the many teachings...to help us through all life's troubles, upsets, and we will know how to live our lives the good and righteous way....and also we will know how to handle anything life throws at us....prayer and knowing God helps!...
