music on the weekends....

Music is something that most everyone enjoys.

Many people are talented in vocal, playing instruments, sound/stage, songwriting, and I think it would be nice if everyone in all towns small or grand had a place on the weekends to gather and take part in all musical areas of interest.....

Locally at one time, most the small towns had weekend music and anyone interested that wanted to take part was allowed to....There was always quite a few people there to listen and see the performers....

I think most small towns have the problem of not having anything to do on the weekends except travel to the local city to get into troubles sometimes it seems!...When you live in a small town it's good to have a place to go and take part in some musical interests on the weekends where you do not have to travel so far to enjoy a performance, meet like minded others, and be social....because it would be right there in your small town!

you can advertise it everywhere and invite all, have all kinds of music allowed,  you may switch out every other weekend what type of music you will be playing but still invite everyone to see how they like that type of music.....

Have instruments of all kinds allowed, you could bring accompaniment tapes, but live music is always good!....You would have to have all the stage equipment and microphones working nicely and inspected by someone who know how to run them properly....

Have plenty of room in a clean, remodeled or ok building, you need to have the building inspected for safety concerns so it won't cave in!...lol....I have seen some buildings that I just know the ceiling would cave in before in these small towns so old and falling in!...lol.....

you could have it for free, for all to attend and enjoy, then you can have refreshments, or some prepackaged snacks, brought into your building, everyone can donate some, or the money to purchase them, and you can maybe have some door prizes, raffles or something unique like that for everyone to enjoy.....just advertise the Saturday night music!

On holidays you can all perform Holiday themed music, or you can even maybe have a gospel singing with live music for a Saturday night sometime....

Saturday nights can be boring, and we all need to have something good that is social and for the whole family that we can all take part in and look forward to on Saturday night that is local and you don't have to travel 50 miles to go and see!...lol....

Saturday nights can get you into a whole lot of trouble if you take part in something you know is not good just because you are mischievious and probably bored!.....

I enjoy this type of weekend social gathering.

red dirt shirts.....hygiene.....

I remember the Red Dirt shirts they had years ago.

I was looking at an old worn out work shirt I have, that at one time was very pretty white and no stains and no tears....lol...time has aged the shirt as well as the work outdoors.

It is covered in dirt and stained now with tears in it....I threw it away, senseless to keep that one!

It made me think about those Red Dirt stained shirts they had.....they took a new white cleaned shirt and they stained it with Oklahoma Dirt and Clay...They always talk about the dirt/clay being Red here...it's not a true red hue, it's just a reddish brown hue of dirt/clay.....and it does stain things very good!....haha.....

people loved the idea of the shirts stained with the red dirt/clay of our state and I thought it was very unique, and they were cleaned and sanitary after staining them, so I think that those were something else for Oklahoma.....they had a neato look to them....Maybe they could have had other clothing items as well stained with the Red Dirt and Clay.....I liked them....just randomness today....

A person could purchase one of those Bedazzler Rhinestone machines and place the Rhinestone sets on those t-Shirts.....lol...I think Bedazzler is a fun and easy way to sparkle your clothing or other items..oh, I enjoy those sparkles on many items!.......too bad I didn't have a Bedazzler to use for my purse creation...I like sequins also and sewing those on was simple and easy to complete.....

I need to purchase some new socks to wear with my work boots, I like them rather thin sometimes....I looked at my socks yesterday and I thought: " Time for a new pair!" they have tears in them, I have worn those socks terribly!

I purchased a new toothbrush the other day, there were 2 in a package...Toothbrushes need to be changed and discarded in the trash every 4 month I think!...it's gross to think about how bacteria grows on your toothbrush...I always scald mine under very hot water before and after use.....but it's still nasty to keep a toothbrush over a few months.....icky!

I use a strong mouthwash always to kill stinky breath, and I gargle with it after brushing my teeth always...it helps keep your mouth clean and breath smelling nice....people say; "Oh it burns to gargle and use mouthwash and toothpaste!!!"...BUT nobody needs to go everywhere and talk to others with nasty stinky teeth/breath!!!....nasty!....hygiene always need to be first....if it burns your mouth, that's normal, keep brushing, flossing, and mouthwashing!....

I found bar soap also at the Dollar Tree for $1/a bar...that is very affordable.....I enjoy taking a bath or shower everyday...it feels nice to go take a warm nice bath or shower and then go to sleep.....I rest better....I think it is good for everyone to clean up, smell nice, groom/shave, and keep yourself looking and smelling nice!....

Found my Fall mug yesterday and I created some Hot Chocolate yesterday evening, it was very cold weather, and i started a pan of Chili on the stove at noon....I just create my own chili at home with crackers and LongHorn cheese on the side.....sometimes a dollop of sour cream onto the chili....I have a recipe on here somewhere from last year for my Chili I like to create...it was nice...

spaghetti dinner.....

It was so very cold and windy yesterday evening!...The wind blew a lot of things everywhere on the lawn yesterday.....It was chilly out there....

I have noticed lately that a lot of towns are hosting Spaghetti Dinners...They have always had those as fundraisers....

I enjoy preparing Spaghetti and since it is the Fall Season I have been cooking & baking a lot at home...it is just fun to challenge yourself in the kitchen,,,,Italian food is one of my favorites to create....I like the sauce, cheeses, and the pastas....

Boiling pasta has always got to be done right, you don't want sticky pastas that you cannot chew and you don't want it to break your teeth!....lol....I always boil mine in a cooking pot with plenty of water....Read your instructions on the pasta packaging/box......Draining the boiling water from the cooking pot into a colander set in the sink, there is a lot of steam and you need to always watch out so you will not burn yourself!

I like to scramble some Hamburger meat in Canola oil, I like mine well done, then I throw in a small can of sliced mushrooms...sauté them.....I drain the oil from the meat & mushrooms into a waste pan, and then I place the meat and mushrooms into the spaghetti.....

Finding a good Spaghetti sauce is always good, and I just leave it in the container it is purchased in, I spoon it onto the spaghetti from the can or jar, or you can pour it onto there.....

I like salad with my spaghetti and breadsticks/garlic bread...I talked about all the breadsticks/garlic bread I enjoy and have used before....

Some people like to purchase the wheat spaghetti or the plain--all the same.

Pasta Brands I enjoy--

sometimes if you don't think you have time to prepare spaghetti, you can purchase the spaghetti and meatballs in a can like Chef Boyardee and Campbell's Spaghetti o's...they have off brands for these also...

I like Kraft Parmesan cheese to shake onto the spaghetti.....it's good..they have off brands for this also..

I always wonder just how much spaghetti they have to prepare for a whole town? we had a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the church once and it took 6 packages of spaghetti....I can only imagine how much it must take for a grand sized town locally....several jars or cans of sauce also....lol....

Agriculture / Farming Informative talks.....

I think that when people are able to be apart of Agriculture and can farm, they should have available free public talks with representatives from local Agriculture Departments..

They have them locally sometimes and they showcase knew techniques for farming, new items that are available to help with your farm...they sort of advertise all the new items you can use and purchase to help with your farm.....

New equipment, new agri-treatments for land, crops, cattle, and new techniques that are better for the farmer to understand...sometimes they are impossible to understand!...lol...and they need practice and to be taught how to run them properly and repair them.....haha!

they constantly have new scientific technology they invent and work on to help simplify the farmer/rancher/cattleman's life, it may take years to invent new items, but I enjoy keeping up on all the new inventions, treatments, and easier ways to farm/ranch.....I just like this stuff!

the local public Agriculture/Farmer/Rancher public talks are usually at a public building and EVERYONE who wishes to learn some new info on these areas can attend...sometimes they are free, sometimes you are invited by fliers in the mail, and sometimes they may have a small fee to attend....they always have coffee and may last several hours....lol..

These Agriculture/Farming/Ranching talks would be good for everyone to go out and enjoy and people who are new to this kinda life would be able to meet others locally, talk, and learn new ideas of farming....good social way to meet other farmers/ranchers.....I know that when people are just starting out farming, cattle business.....they may be nervous, but learning that there are others out there who may be feeling the same, that's sort of comforting I'm sure.....

new innovative ideas are something I am interested in.

anyway, just thinking about all those talks because they have some this time of year usually..

I know that the winter will be here before too long, and I enjoy being able to get out there in all the weather elements and check on the cattle, hay and feed them, break the frozen ponds so the cattle can drink, check fences, snowflakes and icicles are everywhere.....I don't know why I enjoy that so much, but that's just fun to me....it's nice to be able to focus on your work like that, and know that these things aren't easy, but they have a simplicity to them, because it's just you and a bunch of hungry moos!...haha!.....

I enjoy being able to just stare out across a field from my back yard and see nothing but trees, cows, and a field and hear not one noise except cows mooing.......I'd never live in a city!!!....I have to have wide open spaces, a beautiful sky, and plenty of quiet!....that's just me.

it has always been rather fun for me, (for some weird reason) to go into a local small town and see all the farmers, ranchers, cowboys, cowgirls all setting at the tables at the local cafes and listen to them talk about their farm, and what they have been working on.....They just gather at the tables, enjoy morning coffee, have noon meal, and they're always talking and/or "shooting the shit" as they say.....they're covered in dust or dirt, and smell like a pasture and they don't care!....haha.....

AND when you are through for the day and you may venture into town for something like fuel, feed, or to get a drink, you are totally covered in dust/dirt/mud...your hair is a mess, you smell like a pasture, your clothes are just old work clothes, your boots are covered in cow shit, you don't know what time it is other than by seeing the sun in the western sky, you know it's close to evening.....that's beautiful to me!....and you're so tired you don't even care you look a mess!.....and you fall to sleep that night peacefully after a bath....I suppose that's what I enjoy about it all......a lot of work.

saying thank you....

A person should always let everyone know they appreciate everything they have done that is very kind and anytime you save someone's life, you let them know you care, or you keep them safe from danger, I always want to tell everyone how much I appreciate them for everything they continue to do to keep me alive and well, and everything kind thing they do everywhere.

Often it takes many many people to keep someone well, doctors, nurses, technicians, security, and just having someone there to let you know they care and are able to watch over you.....

I would always wish to tell EVERYONE who has ever kept me well, safe, and from danger just how much I appreciate them for that!!!

There has always gotta be some way to show them how much you appreciate something someone does to help you, keep you safe & secure...

ALWAYS tell them THANK YOU, for all the kind things people do for you that you appreciate.....that is very professional and cordial to do so.....

Showing appreciation for all the kindness is something we all need to try and do at all times...there is much kindness in the world, and there is also so much evil in the world.....So when we are able to find goodness or kindness from someone let them know how much you appreciate that!

Sending gifts, letters, balloons, flowers, cards....there are many other ways to show someone you appreciate them......you can by mail, or deliver gifts in person, and personally tell them Thank You also!.....

be thoughtful always, show you appreciate everything, show you care, and more people should.

Spending time with those who have been so very kind and gracious is also another way to show them you appreciate their kindness!

Whenever someone shows you respect, you always need to have respect for them also.

be a gentleman.    be a lady.   have some class!

say Thank You.
