Summer, the sound of locusts in the trees, dreading the end of summer before having to go back to school, school supply shopping early, always reminds me of that......still with me, oh, those days......weird I still think of that this time of year......
Summer also reminds me of rodeos in the late cool evening ! We gotta keep the animals, watered, well fed early in the day, rest in the shade, then NO RODEOS til way late evening !!! Very important ! Heat + Sun stroke can quickly happen to the animals ALL of them can over heat before rodeo time ! People also ! Be careful + watchful of all people + animals !!! Heat strokes happen quickly to us all !!!
Rodeos I adore them ! I prefer barrel racing, team roping and team penning, these are my faves ! Grand entry is nice with the horseback riders plenty in the arenas, with all allowed to ride in, very pretty !
Concession stands, Port o Pottys / portable bathrooms needed for all rodeos ! Dress / attire cowboy, cowgirl all ages ! Parking areas MUST be well lighted ! Plenty lights to see where we are parking the vehicles, allow plenty room between vehicles so you may drive out of parking lot safely ! I have had this problem before ! Haha ! No room to leave, hemmed in place couldn't get out of the parking lot ! Just laugh ! Lol....
Take plenty money / cash or purchase rodeo tickets early from vendor or local stores often in smaller towns !
If you wish to participate ? Practice perform in front of friends + family at home several weeks, then audition early for them to see if you agree you could perform well to enter the contest / compete against others in the same category !!! These are exciting + fun, good social activity ! All ages allowed to rodeo....
Play days are certain days the rodeo crowds can meet up and practice / perform with others, have fundraisers, allow plenty of time to gather players and see what weekend evenings would be nice days for all, sometimes Friday nites are well also ! Create good social activity for weekends and drive to and from with horses, safely ! Allow management of play days, choose the perfect organizational person to call and schedule the rodeo play days, must have several attending, wishing to attend also ! Great fun !
